Pebble unveils gorgeous new smartwatch called 'Pebble Time Round' starting at $249

Pebble has announced a brand new smartwatch called the Pebble Time Round, and the company touts it as the ’thinnest and lightest smartwatch in the world.’ The Pebble Time Round’s band will be offered in either 14mm or 20mm and the unit is available in one of three different colours variants namely black, silver or rose gold. Pebble Time Round starts at $249 (approximately Rs 16,500) and can be reserved at Pebble.com (shipping worldwide), Best Buy, Target, and Amazon. Watches start shipping and will be available at US and Canadian retailers in early November. Retail availability in the UK will begin later this year, followed by EU retailers in early 2016. A report by The Next Web points out that the device is exactly half the weight of the lightest Apple Watch and more than 100 grams lighter than a 42mm model with a stainless steel strap. The device will bring in notifications, messages, incoming calls, and music controls to your wrist. The battery for this device is said to last longer than comparable smartwatches with LCD displays. The company claims that the new smartwatch will last ‘days’ on a single charge. It also stated that just 15 minutes of charge will offer a day’s worth of use. The Pebble Time Round will also be splash resistant. Image: Pebble Blog[/caption] In conversation  VentureBeat, Pebble founder and CEO Eric Migicovsky was asked, “How can we get our watches on more wrists around the world?” According to the report, the answer his company came up with was to create a device that looks good on and fits comfortably on smaller wrists.
