It looks like Street Fighter will start becoming a viable game for the PC. According to fighting game community site Shoryuken, Capcom’s Neidel “Haunts” Crisan has revealed that the PC version of the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter 4 will be released simultaneously on the PC along with its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.
Crisan revealed this in response to a fan asking when the PC version of the game will be released. Later, Crisan also revealed that the company won’t be using the much-hated Games for Windows LIVE matchmaking and DRM service for Ultra Street Fighter 4. Instead, the game will use Valve’s Steam for digital distribution and Steamworks for all of its online functions.
Poison relies quite a bit on her melee attacks when compared with Ryu
The update will be available to players for $14.99 (Rs 900 approx) digitally. It will also be sold as a standalone game for $39.99 (Rs 2,400 approx). The standalone version of the update will include all the DLC characters that have been released for the game so far as well as all the DLC characters that will be making it to the game in the future.
The new characters in the update are Rolento, Poison, Hugo, Elena and a mysterious fifth character. The fifth character will be a completely original one designed from scratch. These characters are making their appearance in a mainline Street Fighter game after a long time. However, four of these characters have already made it to another recent fighting game—Street Fighter X Tekken. However, the Capcom Unity blog points out that X Tekken plays vastly differently from Street Fighter 4. Elena, Hugo and Poison made their last appearance in a mainline Street Fighter game back in Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.
