PC version of Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition to hit stores on August 6

The highly-rated fighting game Mortal Kombat is heading to your home computers soon. On May 22, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the publisher of the famous street fighter, announced that the latest edition of Mortal Kombat, the Komplete Edition for PC will be launched digitally on July 3 and is expected to hit the retail stores by August 6.

The PC version will include all the downloadable content that is a part of the console version. This means, warriors like Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and Freddy Krueger won’t be missed; in addition to this, the PC version will have 15 additional skins and three old school fatalities.

The publisher has also promised that all modes and features found in the console version of Mortal Kombat will be incorporated in the PC version of the game. To the joy of all the Mortal Kombat fanatics, the game will also have the Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition Fight Stick; it will support the “full controller capability”.

Interestingly, the PC version of the street fighter game will be developed by Voltage Software, an independent studio that has given us games like The Conduit and Kinect Star Wars. Though not developed by NetherRealm, the publisher expects that the game will perform well in the market.

The Komplete Edition, developed by NetherRealm, was first released in February 2011, but was restricted to the consoles like PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. But with the game receiving a great response from the audience, the publishers have now decided to release a PC version of the same.
