PC gaming may have been put on the backburner for a while now but there are some developers who still care. One of them is developer Kaos Studios (Frontlines), working on the highly ambitious shooter, Homefront. Homefront is a first person military shooter set in the near future where a ticked off, nuclear armed Korea invades America.

So PC version for you too right?

Gamers who pick up the PC version of the game will be entitled to a bunch of extras, first of which is 3D support. Other gameplay extras include the ability to control vehicles through both first and third person perspectives. Vehicular controls have been tweaked for the PC version, offering players 3 variants of controls:

  • Ace: Allows for the best maneuverability, but takes the most practice to master.
  • Veteran: Balanced difficulty and maneuverability.
  • Rookie: Pick-up-and-play level of difficulty, least maneuverable.

There’s also the option to practice your skills with bots before heading online. And finally you have a Squad Management system for the PC with Squad based VOIP. As you can see, Kaos have invested a good amount of effort to ensure PC gamers enjoy their Homefront experience. For the entire list of perks including system requirements, head right here .

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
