Panasonic unveils the P11, T11 and T21 smartphones in India

Panasonic has officially unveiled three new mid-range Android smartphones for the Indian market. The new models have been titled P11, T11 and the T21 respectively. The first two models were earlier seen coming up for pre-order via online retail stores. All three models fall in the Rs 9,000 to Rs 16,000 bracket and cater to the mid-level category.

A quick look at the P11 shows that the device comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720,a dimension ratio of 143x 73x 9.7 mm and weighs in at 160 grams. Internally, the handset comes with Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz as well as 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD slot.

In terms of photography, the device comes with an 8-megapixel Auto Focus camera with flash. Also added in is a 2-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity-wise, the handset comes with most of the usual suspects like Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS as well as Bluetooth 2.1. The P11 also comes with the usual in terms of sensors featured like an accelerometer, proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor. The dual-SIM smartphone rounds up the offering with a 2000mAh battery.  The P11 is priced at Rs 16,490 in India and will be available from the third week of September, according to the company.

The second product on the list is the T11. The mid-range smartphone comes with a 4-inch WVGA IPS display, a pixel resolution of 800 x 480, a dimension ratio of 112 x 63 x 9.2 mm and weighs in at 120 grams. Internally, the device comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 200 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz as well as 1GB of RAM. The T11 will run Android 4.1 out-of-the-box.

Pansonic’s new offering comes with 4GB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB via a microSD slot. On the camera front, the device comes with 5-megapixel primary camera with Auto Focus and flash packed in. Also added to the offering is a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front shooter. In terms of connectivity, the handset comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS as well as Bluetooth 2.1. Like the P11, the T11 also comes with an accelerometer, proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor. Rounding up the package is a 1500mAh battery. The T11 will be priced at Rs 9,790.

The last of the company’s offering on the list is the T21. Not much was heard about the device before the official launch. The handset comes with a 4.5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720 and a pixel density of 326ppi. Dimension-wise, the T21 measures 132 x 66 x 9.8 mm and weighs in at 140 grams. Like the other two devices on the list, the T21 comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) as well as 1GB of RAM. Internally, the handset comes with a Broadcom 28145 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. Like the P11, the T21 comes with an 8-megapixel primary camera as well as a 2-megapixel front shooter.

The company has said that the new device will come with full HD 1080p video recording and video playback capabilities. In terms of connectivity, the product comes with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n as well as GPS. The new offering comes with 4GB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB via a microSD slot. Rounding up the package is a 1700mAh battery. The T21 is being offered in India for Rs 13, 990.
