Panasonic unveils Eluga I2 Activ with Android 7.0 and quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor

The Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ has a unibody metal design with a 5-inch HD display protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass.

Panasonic has unveiled a new smartphone under the Eluga series called as the Eluga I2 Activ. The phone has been offered in three colours namely Gold, Rose Gold and Gray. However, the availability details of the phone are yet unknown even though the phone has been listed on Panasonic's official website.

The phone has a unibody metal design with a 5-inch HD display protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass. The Eluga I2 Activ runs on Android 7.0 out of the box. The phone has a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25 GHz paired with 16 GB of internal storage expandable to 128 GB via a microSD card. The phone comes with 1 GB and 2 GB RAM variants.

In terms of optics the phone has a 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front shooter. It has dual-SIM capabilities with a hybrid slot, 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi support. The phone has a 2,200 mAh battery. However, the phone does not have a fingerprint sensor even though it is quite common to see even a budget smartphone with that feature. The 1 GB RAM variant of the phone is priced at Rs 7,190 and the 2 GB variant is Rs 7,990.

Panasonic has earlier launched the Eluga A3 and A3 Pro at an event in New Delhi. The company has priced the A3 and A3 Pro at Rs 11,290 and Rs 12,790 respectively.
