Panasonic shows the making of Eluga smartphone commercial

Panasonic unveiled their first Android smartphone during MWC 2012 called the Eluga which besides being powerful and super slim, boasts of an all waterproof deign. This is the first phone to have this feature without the help of a bulky water proof coating. The phone is currently available in Germany and will soon be hitting the UK on April 24. There’s no word on whether it will launch in India but one can hope. Along with the launch of the phone, Panasonic is also promoting it via commercials and today, they’ve released the making-of video that showcases how they managed to capture those crazy effects in the commercial.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

In order to capture the water droplets in motion, they used the Phantom HD Gold high-speed camera that’s capable of shooting 2,500 frames a second. Its best you just have a look at the video itself, it’s pretty crazy. Along with the Eluga, Panasonic also announced the Eluga Power, a similar looking phone but with a much larger screen. Panasonic claims, “In developing the ELUGA power, we refused to compromise and remained ambitious. That’s how we’ve managed to deliver the convenience of a 5-inch HD screen and superfast charging, make it water and dustproof, as well as add impressive features like NFC and a 1.5GHz processor. All in a slim, pocket-friendly and stylish smartphone.”  Like the Eluga, the Eluga Power features some nifty specifications, such as having dustproof and waterproof abilities, NFC capabilities and the super-fast charging feature. Speaking on the last feature Panasonic states, “In just 30 minutes Panasonic’s big-screen, big-battery smartphone can reach 50% charge capacity – and with its 1800mAh battery the ELUGA power is perfect for those who need their phone to work as hard as they do.”
