Panasonic India has launched its all-new tough wearable camera called the HX-A1. The rugged wearable camera offers a lightweight solution, that is aimed at an audience that is into adventure or extreme sports. The Panasonic HX-A1 is priced at Rs 19,900 in India and weighs in at just 45 grams. The rugged camera is waterproof to 1.5 metres without the need for extra housing and has been drop tested from a height of 1.5 metres. Since this is an action camera, the HX-A1 is also dustproof and as Panasonic puts it, even freezeproof, down to a chilly minus 10 degrees C. The key feature on the Panasonic HX-A1 has a 0 Lux Night Mode. The rugged action camera packs in an IR filter (night mode) and can be used with an infrared light source to literally let you capture footage in pitch darkness. The camera sports a 3.54 MP, 1.3-inch MOS sensor with f/2.8 aperture and 2.6mm focal length set up that will let you capture footage up to Full HD resolution. So you don’t need to worry about running out of storage. The camera keeps recording seamlessly, by managing video in two-minute segments. The wearable action camera comes with Wi-Fi and can be mounted to a Multi Mount and then onto goggles, shoulder bags or helmets or onto a tripod using the Tripod Mount. Panasonic has ensured that plenty of optional accessories are available, including a handlebar mount, extended battery, twin mount for a light source, clip mount and head mount.
