Panasonic expands Lumix range with DMC-FZ1000 and DMC-FZ300 starting at Rs 45,990

Panasonic has announced new DMC-FZ1000 and DMC-FZ300 compact digital cameras in India with support for 4K photography and video recording in its Lumix range. The cameras are priced at Rs 45,990 and Rs 58,990 respectively. The new cameras come with wide-angle LEICA lens systems with high-precision OLED live viewfinders. Both feature high sensitivity MOS sensors and Venus Engine image processors that claim superior colour reproduction and minimum noise even in low light conditions. Both are also DFD (Depth from Defocus) enabled and offer an autofocus time of 0.09 seconds and also, a quick start-up time of 0.66 seconds. Panasonic’s flagship bridge camera DMC-FZ1000 comes with 1-inch 20.1 megapixel MOS sensor and 16x optical zoom. The 5-axis Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer and 5-step speed control work at ensuring smooth zoom control. On the other hand, the DMC-FZ300 is a hybrid compact camera, promising top-class optical performance in a splash- and dust-proof form factor. The 12.1 megapixel sensor of the FZ300 has been complimented by a high powered 24x optical zoom. Along with 4K support, Panasonic adds the ability to extract 8 megapixel frames from 4K video footage. Some more highlights include 4K burst shooting, 4K burst S/S (start/stop) and 4K pre-burst. Both models are Wi-Fi enabled and also compatible with smartphones and tablets.
