Panasonic Eluga A4 launched at Rs 12,490; packs in a massive 5,000 mAh battery

**Panasonic** India has launched yet another smartphone in the budget segment. The mobile phone is called the Panasonic Eluga A4, it is priced at Rs 12,490 and it packs in a massive 5,000 mAh battery. [caption id=“attachment_4195841” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Panasonic Eluga A4 Panasonic Eluga A4[/caption] The Panasonic Eluga A4 appears to be made out of metal, with the usual rounded corners sticking to Panasonic’s long-standing design philosophy, as seen on previous devices. The fingerprint reader sits at the back and so does the speaker grille, which may result in muffled audio when placed on a table or a couch. Moving to hardware, the Eluga A4 features a 5.2-inch HD display with a 2.5 D glass screen to protect it. Inside, buyers will get a quad-core chipset, clocked at 1.25 GHz, coupled with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The internal storage is expandable using microSD cards. The device features a 13 MP primary camera with an LED flash at the rear and a 5 MP unit on the front. Connectivity options include a 4G LTE bands, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a microUSB port for data transfers and charging. All of the above is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which is the USP of the smartphone. Also a part of the package is Android 7.0 Nougat, equipped with Panasonic’s proprietary assistant called ARBO. Processor aside, the Eluga A4 does pack in a large battery, which challenges the Xiaomi camp. But the Eluga A4’s smaller RAM size and display resolution could see buyers heading for the latter. Panasonic recently launched the **Eluga Ray 500 and Eluga Ray 700** during the festival season with pricing starting from Rs 8,999. The Panasonic Eluga A4 is already available for sale both online and in stores.
