Our pick: Top 5 tablets under Rs 10,000

Today, the sub-Rs 10,000 tablet segment offers a plethora of options in the Indian market. In fact, it is the most sought-after tablet category. Whether you are looking for a large display, voice calling or longer battery life, here are five options that you can consider if your budget is just below Rs 10,000.

Nexus 7 – Rs 9,999

The Google Nexus 7 unveiled

Nexus 7 powered with a quad-core processor

The recent price cut has placed the 16GB Nexus 7 (2012) in the sub-Rs 10,000 category. The Google tablet built by Asus is powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.3, and will possibly get all the future Android updates too. One can easily expect good performance with its hardware-software combo. If you’re looking for a budget tablet for gaming, then the Nexus 7 is the most powerful out of the lot. The HD IPS display comes with high pixel density and good battery life for media consumption. On the downside, it lacks expandable memory, SIM support and rear camera. So, it isn’t for those looking for a tablet with voice calling. In our review of the Nexus 7, we’ve rated it 8 out of 10. Take a quick look at the complete specifications of the Nexus 7.
