Ouch! Some users report skin irritation after strapping on Apple Watch

Apple’s first ever wearable, the Apple Watch, has already started receiving some flak from users. People claim that they are experiencing some kind of skin irritation due to the materials used on the Apple Watch. Few users have got a rash where the band is placed, which is leading to a skin allergy. First images emerged on Italian website Ispazio where a few users posted images wherein their wrists had bad rashes. Another Reddit user also shared a similar problem which caused him skin irritation due to the Apple Sport Watch. The company suggests that a few users who have encountered the problem might be wearing the Watch wrongly and should not wear it either too tight or strap it too loose. This can be due to allergies, environmental factors, extended exposure to irritants like soap or sweat, and other causes.’ Apple has advised these users to stay away from the Watch if they come across any problems or simply, consult a physician before wearing the Apple Watch again. Last year, a similar problem was seen on leading fitness tracker FitBit, when it recalled some of its high-end wristbands after a few users encountered skin irritation while wearing the band.
