End of February is Mobile World Congress (MWC) time and every major mobile company will be looking to steal the spotlight. Chinese smartphone giant Oppo is not one to be left out on the global stage and it has promptly scheduled a pre-MWC event on 23 February for a wider announcement of the recently introduced 10x Hybrid zoom technology.
This technology in question had been first revealed at a conference held in China on 17 January. Oppo had said that this new tech is ready to be used for commercial and mass production purposes. Now Oppo hasn't explicitly announced its intentions of a new phone for this technology but one can assume that a stage as big as MWC would certainly make the smartphone maker consider it.
In the past such as MWC 2016, Oppo had used the occasion to announce a future-looking technologies such as the SuperVOOC charging as well as a smart sensor for image stabilisation. The SuperVOOC charging has certainly made it to smartphones now.
As per a report by GizChina, the 10x hybrid zoom technology is being adopted using a three-camera structure that includes a super wide-angle sensor, an ultra-clear main sensor and a telephoto lens.
Apart from this hybrid zoom technology, Oppo will quite likely be announcing some other new innovations in the fields of Connectivity, AI, Industry 4.0, Immersive Content, Disruptive Innovation, Digital Wellness, Digital Trust and the Future.
