Oppo releases N1 video teaser, doesn't give a glimpse of the smartphone

Chinese-maker Oppo’s camera-centric N1 surfaced a couple of times last month and now the company has released a 24-second teaser video. Disappointingly, the video doesn’t give a glimpse of the smartphone but does reveal an ISO chart camera sample taken with the phone. It also shows some eye-catching pastel-coloured boxes. The teaser does point out at possibilities of the N1 launch on September 23.

Though there is no official word on its specs, here’s what we’ve gathered from the rumours and leaks so far. It is expected to be armed with a new “Owl” chip, which has been engineered for superior low-light performance. It may come with a 13 megapixel camera, claimed to be the best in its class in terms of low-light shooting capabilities. The N1 is also expected to feature Oppo’s N-Lens and Xenon flash.

Take a look at the teaser video:

We’ve seen leaked images of the Oppo N1 showing off the front side. Though there are no images of its rear panel, it is believed that half of the rear side may come with a touch panel.

The Oppo N1 could come with a relatively cheaper price tag compared to other flagship smartphones sold in the US. However, the N1 may be priced at $480 (Rs 30,880 approx), which is still quite high. The device will face some stiff competition from the Lumia 1020 , Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z1 and Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Zoom .
