Oppo Neo 7: 4G support, 5-inch qHD display, 8MP camera; priced at Rs 9990

Oppo Neo 7 that was earlier listed on the company website is now official . The Neo 7 is priced at Rs 9,990. The device will enter the Indian market just in time for the festive season and will be made available within this week. Commenting on the launch Mike Wang, CEO, Oppo Mobiles India said, “Oppo is known worldwide for pioneering technologies and designs and our newest addition in Neo family, Neo 7 is perfect interpretation of it. Neo series has generated positive response in the past and we are confident that with the classic mirror like design and innovative features, it will cater to target consumer who look for latest features at an attractive price.” The Oppo Neo 7 comes with support for 4G in India and will sport a 5-inch qHD display. The device is said to use optical coating technology and fibre glass materials. The back of the handset has 13 layers of coating refined through a series of 40 processes to increase strength, claims the company. Under the hood, it gets 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and will also gets a layer of Android 5.1 lollipop. The 16GB onboard storage is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB, 3G and GPS. It weighs 141 grams and measures 142.7 x 71.7 x 7.55 mm. The Neo 7 comes equipped with an 8MP rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera. It will support dual SIMs and come dipped in white and black colours. It features light-sensitive sensor that can adjust the screen brightness perfectly to a user’s face, and the screen itself can be converted into a flash to brighten selfies in low light. A 2420mAh battery completes the package. The company recently announced the Oppo R7s . It is the company’s first smartphone with 4GB of RAM announced at the GITEX 2015 event in Dubai. Some of its specs include Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display, 32GB storage expandable up to 128GB, 13MP rear camera and a 3,070mAh battery.
