Oppo F5 Sidharth Limited Edition smartphone expected to launch on 3 February with a glossy blue paint job

Last year Oppo had released a special edition variant of the Oppo F3 called the **Oppo F3 Deepika Edition** phone. In 2018, Oppo wants to start off the year with another special edition phone featuring another Bollywood star. Image: Oppo[/caption] The Oppo Mobile India’s Facebook page has started promoting the F5 Sidharth Limited Edition smartphone which features Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra. It will start selling in India from 3 February onwards. The paint job is glossy blue and it looks eerily similar to the colour we had seen on the Honor 9 Lite which we reviewed recently. In fact, there is an international variant with this colour which is called Oppo F5 Dashing Blue and looks quite similar. Oppo F5 Gold and Black editions will continue to sell for Rs 19,990. There is no word on whether the Oppo F5 Sidharth edition will be priced higher than usual.

Inside, the **Oppo F5** houses a Helio P23 chipset, which is built on a 16 nm process and this is paired with 4 GB or 6 GB RAM with 32 GB or 64 GB storage variants. The internal storage can be expanded up to 256 GB using a microSD card. There’s a 6-inch FHD+ display. The front camera also delivers bokeh effects using its 20 MP f/2.0 sensor. At the back is a 16 MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens and an LED flash. Surprisingly, there is no LED flash on the front, considering that this is a selfie smartphone. A 3,200 mAh battery powers all of the above and the handset runs Android 7.1 with Oppo’s custom ColorOS skinning to keep things refreshed.
