Oppo A57 'unstoppable' selfie smartphone to launch in India on 3 February

After its launch in China, Oppo has finally put out advertisements and a new page on its website that reveals the launch date of its new A57 selfie smartphone in India. The launch of the Oppo A57 smartphone is now scheduled for 3 February and we expect the price tag to be in the range of Rs 16,000. Back in November, Oppo launched this device for the China market. The smartphone maker stuck to its tried and tested design, which is similar to the F1s and the F1 Plus. The rounded design will once again feature plastic caps on the back with a metal back to keep the smartphone’s price in check. ![Oppo A57 Homepage splash banner](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Oppo-A57-Homepage-splash-banner.jpg) What you get in the China model is a 5.2-inch HD LCD display that features a 2.5D glass screen for protection. Inside, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 clocked at 1.4GHz with an Adreno 505 GPU to handle graphics. There’s 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which can be expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 128GB). Coming to the cameras, Oppo offers a 16MP front-facing camera up front and a 13MP camera with PDAF on the rear-side.  There’s a static home button on the front which also features a fingerprint reader inside. Connectivity options include, 4G LTE radios, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, and a USB port placed at the bottom of the handset. A 2,900mAh battery completes the package. The smartphone is expected to compete with the Vivo V5 and will act as an upgraded variant of the Oppo F1s with a slightly higher price tag.
