Bringing cash-free payments to bus travellers and operators, online bus booking platform Travelyaari on Tuesday announced a partnership with Reliance Jio and Paytm for offline payment integration. The platform is promoting cash-free payments among all its customers at select inter-city offline counters with 2,000 operators across 10,000 branches on board presently, the company said in a statement.
“Customers can pay for their tickets using either of the mobile wallets and avail of several cash-back incentives,” said Aurvind Lama, a Travelyaari spokesperson. Integrated with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, payment options will get cashless at offline bus counters and there will be no longer be hassles of dealing with the change, thus speeding up the payment.
The travellers can use either Paytm or the JioMoney app to dispense the exact amount required to book bus tickets. A Reliance Jio spokesperson said that the mobile application ‘JioMoney’ was conceived with the aim to empower individuals to make payments anytime and anywhere. This comes right after Prime Minister announced the demonetization to the old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. People all around are finding it difficult to arrange smaller denominations of currency to continue their transactions.
