OnePlus to roll out update to fix flickering displays in OnePlus 6 handsets

OnePlus 6 comes along with the feature of **Adaptive brightness** which helps in automatically adjusting the brightness of the phone. But this feature has turned out to be problematic for a lot of users as they have noticed their device screen flickering, especially in outdoor conditions. A number of complaints regarding this issue have been mentioned in the report on Piunika Web, and on the comment threads on Reddit and also on the platform XDA. According to the report in Phone Arena, users noticed that the flickering happened when they moved slightly. Also, this fight between the brightness levels seemed more noticeable when the screen had a white background or it was brightly coloured. On 3 August, OnePlus posted some happy news for the users facing this problem. It said that the next OTA update for the OnePlus 6 device will include optimisation for the adaptive brightness feature which will end the flickering problem. The company claims that the update will be out soon.
