OnePlus 2 is clearly the most anticipated phone at the moment and OnePlus has been sending out teasers since the last couple of months regarding the various features once can expect to see in their latest flagship. We know for certain that the phone will come with a dual-SIM configuration, it will be priced under $450, it's price might be Rs 31,700 and so on.
The company has now sent out official invites for the India launch event happening in New Delhi on 28 July. For those who cannot make it to the event, you can always see the VR launch live using the OnePlus Cardboard.
The OnePlus 2 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with a QuadHD display. OnePlus had officially announced that its upcoming smartphone will sport 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The company claims that the LPDDR4 RAM will bring benefits such as lower power consumption along with twice the bandwidth performance.
The company’s CEO Pete Lau confirmed on Twitter that the new smartphone won’t cost more than $450. This works out to approximately Rs 28,500.
OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 2 will have a fingerprint sensor. According to a post on the OnePlus Forum, “Guys, you guessed it right: the 2 will come with one of the latest and most advanced fingerprint sensors out there.
OnePlus has confirmed on its Twitter page that the USB Type-C connector is coming on the OnePlus 2. In fact, a quick look at the cover image of the OnePlus twitter handle will tell you that the OnePlus 2 will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. This was also announced on the OnePlus forums.
It has also been revealed through the AMA session that the invite only strategy will stay. However, it has been ‘improved’.
