You might recall a popular pizza outlet offer of delivery in 30 minutes or else, you get the pizza for free! Times are certainly changing and now smartphone companies such as OnePlus are conducting delivery programs offering the OnePlus One smartphone for free if it's not delivered in 60 minutes!

In a new promotion campaign, OnePlus has tied up with Blowhorn, a Bengaluru based marketplace. Users in Bengaluru who wish to buy a new OnePlus One smartphone, now have an opportunity to grab their hands on their favourite device within an hour. If the delivery is delayed, users would get it, for free. Just like a pizza!

Starting today, users in Bengaluru could order for OnePlus One smartphone via the Blowhorn mobile app. You can download the app from the Google Play Store. Once you are in the app, simply place your order for a OnePlus One smartphone, and once the order has been accepted, expect to receive it within 60 minutes!

According to a statement by OnePlus, the program is a pilot project currently being executed in Bengaluru, but the company expects to take it to other cities in the future.

Vikas Agarwal, General Manager – India, OnePlus said, “Can you ever imagine receiving a smartphone in about the same time as you order a pizza? At OnePlus, we think it’s possible. At OnePlus we always look to challenge the status quo and wow our fans by making the user experience even better. Therefore we are daring ourselves this time to deliver the original flagship – The OnePlus One – to our fans in Bengaluru who wish to own the phone, within the guaranteed 60 minutes or give it away for free.”

Indeed this is an innovative marketing effort by OnePlus, and we're sure other device manufacturers would also try out aggressive means of fulfilling orders at the earliest. Earlier, OnePlus had partnered with Ola to give users the opportunity to try the OnePlus 2 flagship device.
