OnePlus Mini specs, price and availability details leaked online

A new report by gforgames now reveals some more alleged details about the OnePlus X aka OnePlus mini. Citing an annonymous source, the report that calls the device OnePlus mini reveals specs such as MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) SoC, 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 5-inch IPS display covered in 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 or 4, 32 GB of eMMC 5.0 storage expandable via microSDXC and a 3,000-3,100 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. The report also adds other specs such as a USB Type-C connector with Quick Charge 2.0 capabilities, FM radio, a MT6630 wireless SoC, Bluetooth 4.1, an IR Blaster, a 1.2W front-facing speaker, and an NFC chip that supports Android Pay. The IP67 dust and waterproof device wll come with a ‘main camera that may or may not make use of Mediatek’s 1080p@480fps Super Slow Motion recording’ and a display that uses PSR (Panel Self Refresh), adds the report. “To compensate for the relatively poor GPU performance of the Helio X10 chip, the OnePlus mini will reportedly have the ability to render 3D games at the (lower) 720p resolution,” says the report. The device is expected to be launched in November or December for the price of $250. According to a previous report in GizmoChina,  citing sources, the OnePlus X or OnePlus mini will be releasing in October in China. According to the previous report, the OnePlus X will feature a 5-inch full HD display and will house the year old Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, which was seen in the OnePlus One. This is in like with co-founder Carl Pei’s statement that OnePlus would have only one flagship this year. It also confirms OnePlus’ plans to enter the budget segment ie the sub-Rs 20k segment. [caption id=“attachment_283453” align=“aligncenter” width=“610”] Image: GizmoChina Image: GizmoChina[/caption] The OnePlus X is expected to undergo a design refresh according to renders, said the report. One can see a dual rear-camera setup, a circular finger-print scanner and more pronounced grilles for speakers in the leaked image. The OnePlus X will use the same USB Type-C port that was also used in the OnePlus 2. The previous report also revealed a price on similar line at $249 that is around Rs 16,500. If released at this price, and with sensible invite systems, this phone could really prove to be promising given OnePlus’ history. Of course there is competition the phone will face from incumbents such as the Xiaomi Mi 4 and Motorola Moto X Play, among others. This is in line with what Vikas Agarwal, general manager of OnePlus India had said in an interview with ET Tech , “We’re introducing a new device by the end of this year. Diwali would be the ideal time, but next quarter for sure. It would be a global launch, but India will be the biggest focus.”
