A report by GizmoChina has claimed that the next phone from Chinese manufacturer OnePlus will most probably be called as the OnePlus 5T and may debut in November this year. Last year as well OnePlus had released the OnePlus 3T five months after releasing the OnePlus 3.
Not much information has been revealed for the 5T apart from the fact that OnePlus will be giving the phone a bumped up 6-inch QuadHD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, which has now become a trend among the leading smartphone manufacturers around the world.
A render obtained by GizmoChina sheds more light on the display of the phone. From the front, the OnePlus 5T appears quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 with minimal bezels on the top and bottom while the sides are nearly bezel-less. The screen also appears to curve, not unlike the S8 and Note 8, but as of this point there is no confirmation if OnePlus will be implementing a curved screen display on its phone.
There is no other information currently regarding the new phone from OnePlus even as reports emerge of OnePlus 5 stocks finishing from many parts of the world according to GizmoChina. As the alleged November unveiling of the phone approaches close we should be getting more new information regarding the OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus had earlier released a new Over the Air (OTA) for its latest flagship, the OnePlus 5 which comes more than a month after the previous update, OxygenOS 4.5.10. According to the screenshots posted on the forum post, the new OTA updates the Android security patch in the OxygenOS to September.
