The collaborative effort was done to enable all the upcoming technologies and services including HD calling and VoLTE out-of-the-box with the latest flagship, OnePlus 3. This collaboration was not limited to OnePlus 3 and now the company is working on bringing VoLTE support to the older device, OnePlus 2. The OTA update is scheduled to roll out in the next quarter.
There is no word on VoLTE support for OnePlus One and OnePlus X devices. However, the post has suggested OnePlus One and OnePlus X users using Jio services to install Jio4GVoice app to experience features like enhanced call quality.
OnePlus forums have plenty of users creating multiple posts complaining and requesting VoLTE support to older devices including OnePlus One. This announcement has not helped the case as the rollout is scheduled to start in the next quarter, which will be late for users who want to switch to Reliance Jio with the Welcome offer .
