OnePlus has been marketing its latest smartphones **OnePlus 6** and **OnePlus 6T** as “The Speed You Need” and " Unlock the Speed". The keyword here is ‘Speed’ and boy these OnePlus smartphones are certainly the fastest Android devices for nearly half the price of their competition. [caption id=“attachment_5474781” align=“alignnone” width=“1280”] .jpg) OnePlus.[/caption] OnePlus has associated itself with big brands such as Disney and Marvel to launch the Star Wars edition OnePlus 5T and Avengers edition OnePlus 6 smartphones respectively. Now OnePlus has partnered with another major brand which certainly compliments the Chinese smartphone makers ideology of Speed. We are talking about OnePlus’ partnership with British sports carmaker McLaren. OnePlus CEO & Founder, Pete Lau said in a statement “McLaren and OnePlus were born in a similar way - with a big dream to create something special. Starting from nothing, we challenged ourselves to never settle. Today we unveil a true testament to innovation, a salute to speed.” More details about this new partnership will be revealed at an event on 12 December. Perhaps we might be seeing a McLaren branded OnePlus 6T? Sportscar branding on smartphones is not a new concept. Huawei has a tie-up with Porsche and regularly releases one model of its Mate series smartphone with the Porsche branding with the latest one being the Mate 20 Pro RS. Oppo also released a Lamborghini branded Find X smartphone this year.
There is a chance that perhaps we might be seeing a McLaren branded OnePlus 6T?
