OnePlus is all set to launch its special edition **McLaren Edition OnePlus 6T** on 12 December as part of its five-year celebrations. This phone is being launched as part of OnePlus’ partnership with McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing team. It is expected to be unveiled at a ‘Salute to Speed’ event taking place in Mumbai on 12 December. A ‘ Notify Me’ page has gone live on Amazon and OnePlus website for users to register to receive real-time updates regarding the device. The device is expected to first be released on 11 December in London, followed by a launch in Mumbai. All the attending community members will receive a gift hamper of add-ons like official McLaren merchandise and the new OnePlus Bullets Wireless Red. OnePlus has also started sending out the invites to the launch event to some reviewers. The invite does not tell much about the phone, as there aren’t many internal changes expected. There are speculations about the device having 10 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The invite, however, does showcase some McLaren branding and design language.

The phone will start selling in the OnePlus Experience Store in Connaught Place, New Delhi, immediately after the Mumbai launch. As far as other specifications of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition go, things are expected to remain the same, barring the design of course. There haven’t been any leaked renders so far for us to get an idea of how different the phone will look, but we will likely find out soon enough.
