After the official India announcement of the launch of the OnePlus 3T came the day of reckoning, which is the first day of sales. It turns out that both OnePlus and its sales partner Amazon India had a good day, with all of the smartphone’s selling out in less than a minute. Amazon states that it had witnessed over 2 lakh registrations for the upgraded OnePlus 3 replacement. The special sale on 12 December was for Amazon’s Prime members only. Why did Amazon have a good day? Well, that’s because 1 in every 2 units sold were purchased by new members signing up for Amazon’s Prime subscription. Commenting on the customer reaction, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager - India, OnePlus said, “Our fans never cease to surprise us and their excitement for the OnePlus 3T is unprecedented. The overwhelming response to the early access sale is no exception as the products sold out in few seconds.” Looks like OnePlus’ partnership with Amazon India seems to be a successful one as the smartphone maker has stuck with the e-commerce giant for the sales of all of its smartphones, from the OnePlus 1, OnePlus 2, OnePlus X, OnePlus 3 and now the latest flagship OnePlus 3T.
