OnePlus 3 firmware update brings improved RAM usage, sRGB mode, bug fixes

After much criticism, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has rolled out a software update for its current flagship, the OnePlus 3. The new update is basically here to squish most of the bugs that somehow went unnoticed before the launch of the smartphone including the much-talked about one regarding RAM usage. The update (tagged as OxygenOS 3.2.0) that was supposedly rolled out to reviewers a few weeks ago enables a developer feature in the form of an sRGB mode, hopping on to a better colour standard. Other fixes are mainly to do with improvements to RAM usage and GPS performance. Other notable fixes (and there are plenty) are to do with some issues with the notifications system, Gallery and Clock and Music apps. The new update also includes the recent Google monthly security update. Users will be receiving notifications for downloading the update gradually and OnePlus claims that all smartphones should receive their updates within the next 48 hours. This year’s OnePlus flagship seems to have won the hearts of many despite its buggy software and battery life. We reviewed the OnePlus 3 and found it to be quite the contender with premium underpinnings. It’s just that we were disappointed with its battery life.
