OnePlus 3 Benchmark listings show 6GB of RAM onboard

A couple of benchmark listings online are now pointing to a OnePlus 3 variant with a hefty 6GB of RAM. The first one shows the alleged smartphone with 6GB RAM, while the second one with a similar name tag showing 4GB RAM, indicating that there could be two variants of the smartphone to be launched this year. While the rest of the specifications reveal the usual standard flagship hardware, it is the 6GB RAM that really grabs your attention. [caption id=“attachment_311557” align=“aligncenter” width=“450”] Image: Winfuture.de Image: Winfuture.de[/caption] The second listing comes form benchmarking service called GFXBench that shows another handset tagged as the ‘Rain A3000’ but with 4GB RAM. The rest of the specifications include a 5-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with an Adreno 530 GPU and 64GB of internal storage. As for cameras, there’s a 16MP unit on the back, while the selfie camera gets an 8MP sensor. While we would like to believe that the handset will be available in two flavours, there is a good chance that OnePlus may be going in for just one handset. With 6GB RAM becoming a common feature in premium flagship smartphones this year. There is a good possibility that OnePlus may go all in and head-to-head with its higher priced competitors with 6GB of RAM. But with no launch date in sight, lets hope that OnePlus does not miss the “Hypetrain” like it did last year as even Samsung seems to be adding plenty of horsepower under the hood of its Note 6 phablet this year.
