Once again in less than five days, Google’s Gmail users in India are facing 502 errors. Gmail was also down on 2 and 8 May. On 8 May, even Google’s Play Store had suffered an outage. Downrightnow is also showing possible service issues with Gmail.
The message on the page said, “502. That’s an error. The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request. Please try again in 30 seconds. That’s all we know.”
The Google Apps Statusboard however does not currently show a service outage or disruption for Gmail but it is showing service disruption for Google Drive.

502 errors means that two different servers involved in loading a web page (or other task) are not able to communicate properly.
Let us know if you have access to Gmail. Gmail appears to be working for some of us in office but Google Chat is definitely not working.
