Ola, one of the most popular ride-hailing platforms in the country is rolling a significant update for iOS users. The latest update adds iOS 10 specific features such as Siri and Apple Map integration to the app. The update is gradually rolling out to all the iOS users using iPhones as well as iPads. With the latest update, users can ask Siri book a wide range of cab options like Ola Micro, Mini, Prime or Lux. The app update allows users to simply say “Hey Siri, get me an Ola Cab” to book the cab.
The latest update also allows users to book Ola cabs, get ride estimates and track the ride without even opening the Ola app directly from Apple Maps. In addition, the company has also added support to the rich notification which will enable users to track ride progress directly from the notification. The company also announced the launch of an independent app for Apple Watch to maintain a consistent experience across iOS devices.
“Technology is at the core of all our solutions aimed at providing enhanced mobility to our customers. Integrating our app with iOS 10 is a step towards redefining customer experience. We are proud to be one of the early adopters of Sirikit and Mapkit in the world and we are confident that customers using Apple devices will benefit from this refreshed experience,” added Ankit Bhati, Co-Founder and CTO of Ola.
