Ola invites its users to celebrate the occasion of Valentine’s Day with an ‘adventurous tryst’. The Ola app, will bring free access to adventure activities on February 14 to users in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. Activities included will range from from paragliding, surfing, zipping, underwater hockey and paramotoring to kayaking. Each city will have a unique adventure activity that will show up under the VDAY category on the Ola app respectively. Customers who wish to go on an adventurous date with their partner can make a request, just like they would book a cab. Once the request goes through, an Ola cab will arrive at the customer’s location and take them to the destination. Kiran Brahma, Business Head, Maharashtra, Ola, said, “Valentine’s Day has become synonymous with chocolates, flowers and romantic dinners every year. We wanted to help our users go beyond the predictable celebrations and give them a unique experience to make their day special and exciting. We are confident our customers will cherish this experience.” October last year, Ola also introduced social ride-sharing feature on its app. The service will be available for an introductory flat fare of Rs. 50, Ola said in a statement. A maximum of three people can share a cab together via Ola Share. Driver-partners get an option to log into the Share platform, getting instant access to increased revenue of up to 50 per cent, through continuous fulfilment of booking requests, it said. A user can join multiple groups or simply choose to share a ride with anyone.
