The governor of California, Jerry Brown, declared yesterday, the 16th of October as Steve Jobs day. It was the same day that Apple held a memorial for Jobs at Stanford University. Jobs passed away on the 5th of October and was buried two days later. The governor posted on his Twitter account on Friday that the State of California will celebrate Sunday as Steve Jobs day.

Steve Jobs was a native Californian himself, it makes sense that the State of California dedicates a day to the tech leader. Jobs was born in San Francisco and brought up in Mountain View while attending schools in Cupertino, all in the bay area of California. Apple is holding an employee only memorial for Jobs on October 19th and many tech leaders, including rivals like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, have put former rivalries behind to pay their respects to Jobs. Even the heir of Samsung had attended the memorial at Staford University.

Paddy does not, we repeat, definitely does NOT belong in the category of Mac-head (yeh right!). She does get excited by her iPhone and her iMac and her iPod Nano and her Macbook and Bali's iPad and her future iHouse (patent pending). Ok, so maybe her head is a little bit forbidden fruit shaped. She likes shooting video (iPhone 4 camera zindabad!) and editing montages (Final Cut Pro zindabad!), whether the scene calls for it or no. In her spare time, she's either kicking it on stage with KB the keyboard or kicking butt at Taekwondo. see more
