After a successful launch in San Francisco, Obi Worldphone moved ahead to launch its smartphones in Vietnam and Dubai. And now Obi Worldphone is finally coming to India in November. Obi co-founder and CEO Neeraj Chauhan has mentioned in a statement that the new Obi Worldphone launch will indeed be an aggressive one and that it will be tying up with the best of the best, in order to facilitate those plans. Obi plans to launch both of its recently announced smartphones, the Worldphone SF1 and the Worldphone SJ1.5 . Both smartphones pack in the best components the industry can currently offer and Obi seems to have found the sweet spot. The company has gone in for a balance between powerful hardware and the right price; considering that this is a market that is crowded with budget-midrange smartphones. Obi plans to make a dent by offering great design along with quality construction. This is not only in terms of hardware but also the software bits, using its custom-made, Android-based, Lifespeed UI. The company claims that it is the first one to address the market needs between high-design smartphones at high prices and generic smartphones at low prices. Neeraj Chauhan, Co-founder and CEO of Obi Worldphone, commented, “We have access to the best distribution and retail partnerships in our target markets, which facilitate our aggressive expansion plans. We plan to launch Obi Worldphone in India within this month and are committed to work relentlessly to enthral consumers with our innovations in design, state-of-the-art technology and high standards for manufacturing to deliver inspiring products that overturn the general assumption that great design has to come at a high price.” So far that company has been on track as pointed out in our interview with the Obi Worldphone Co-founder and CEO John Sculley who was the CEO of Apple and Pepsi Cola.
The new Obi Worldphone launch will indeed be an aggressive one and the company will be tying up with the best of the best, in order to facilitate those plans.
