The acquisition means that NVIDIA has two kinds of processors to offer. The first is the well-known Tegra processor that’s used for mobile devices such as phones and tablets. The other product is the Icera-powered baseband processor. The acquired technology and expertise means that NVIDIA will able to offer a wider range of products in a more efficient manner to their OEM customers.
