So you saw a job offer while you were browsing LinkedIn on your phone and want to apply for it? You need not wait to get home and fire your PC up to show your interest in it. A new LinkedIn update for Android and iOS will let you apply for a job right from your mobile phones now.
Of course, this has been one of the most commonly requested features as far as LinkedIn on mobile went. The company has finally managed to fit the feature in the mobile apps and is set to benefit over 30 percent of members who view jobs on the social network from their mobile devices.
Apply for jobs through LinkedIn mobile apps now
The feature will help users apply to jobs they’re interested in without needing to attach resumes when they apply from mobile phones. LinkedIn decided to introduce this feature keeping in mind that a lot of users complain about finding it difficult to manage and edit resumes on the small screen. Now, you’ll simply be able to forward your LinkedIn profile to apply for a job.
To use this feature, search for a job or choose one from the personalised recommendations list and look for the “Apply” or “Save Job” button. Click on the “Apply” button to review your LinkedIn profile. You will have the option to edite your profile from the app before submitting. Hit “Next” if yours is already up to date. You will be prompted to confirm your email ID and phone number. Once done, you can hit the “Submit” button to get done. Note that some jobs will need you to head over to the company website and apply for the job.
The feature is rolling out to English language LinkedIn users on Android and iOS globally already and you should see the update sometime soon. Meanwhile, if you do not already have it, you can download LinkedIn for Android from Google Play and LinkedIn for iOS from the App Store.
