If you have any difficulty in decoding all the 69 poses in the masterpiece guide on copulation-Kama Sutra-then technology has just solved the problem for you. This ancient guide on erotic poses is now packed with 3D visuals, thanks to an app.
A free to download app, intriguingly named “Kama Xcitra” is using augmented reality to demonstrate what those Kama sutra positions look like from every (ahem) angle. However the app is only available to people who buy a new version of the text.
“State-of-the-art technology transforms the historic manual’s illustrations into holograms that pop up in front of a smartphone or tablet. Each image can be seen from all angles, meaning users are offered a complete view of the guide’s sexual diagrams.”- The Guardian reported .
The 3D version is named Kama Xcitra and promises to bring the participators of the act “closer to the action than ever before”.
Hazel Cushion, managing director of publisher Xcite Books, said in a release that “For more than 2,000 years couples have turned to the Kama Sutra for advice and guidance on how to have a fulfilling love life. But some of the more challenging positions, like the Prone Tiger, the Catherine Wheel or the Peg, have left readers a little baffled. That is until now.”
“Each image appears to pop out of the page as a 3D hologram right in front of the reader’s phone. “The viewer then moves their mobile device around to appreciate the position from all angles. As a result, each position becomes clearer, finally solving the problem of where to put that awkward elbow”, she added.
According to the Guardian , “The app works in conjunction with 69 poses and allows users to customise the appearance of models, changing hair and skin colour as well as adding a soundtrack”.
Huffington Post helpfully adds that the book is available on Amazon for 9 pounds.
Cutting-edge technology to maximise intimacy, it seems.
