As the original Adam continues to get a serious backlash , the latest rumours of Notion Ink suggest that the company will be launching the next-gen Adam, sometime in December, this year.

With better chips and screens?!?

With better chips and screens?!?

According to sources , the Adam 2 will feature the latest NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor which packs a 12-core NVIDIA GPU, along with support for 3D stereo. It is also being said that Adam 2 can play videos at a resolution of 1440p. That’s definitely a first as the highest resolution that a tablet can play for now is 1080p. Sticking to the display bit, the Adam 2 might also feature a better Pixel Qi display which will cut down even more on screen glare. Plus, the tablet is said to have two front-facing cameras and will run on the yet-to-be-released Honeycomb 3.2. Rohan Shravan, Notion Ink’s CEO has also been quoted as saying “This December you should see Adam 2, if everything goes fine. We love CES."

So from what the rumours suggest, the Adam 2 definitely looks awesome, but again, that’s only on paper, just like the first edition. You should also remember that the current Adam boasted of awesome specifications and looked like a serious iPad-killer. Of ocusre the only details that seemed to make it teh news front was that the tablet was riddled with issues and facing a lot of flak from customers. To top it all, the company hasn’t even launched the first iteration on their own turf, and here they are, announcing the second version of the Adam.
