Although, it might not be the best thing out there, the Nook Color certainly has quite a few serious takers around the world. And with an update to FroYo, it looks like the e-reader might just woo some more users into buying it.

The latest news doing the rounds is that the tablet has got a makeover by getting an update to its firmware. There were some incidents where the Nook Color was hacked to run Android 2.2 but, after the official firmware upgrade, it looks like users won’t have to go through all that. What’s more is that the e-reader will also have an app store and which will also have the regular Android apps available. Apparently, the company is making its own app store for security reasons.

All we hope for now, is that the company sees a potential market in India and launch their color-ful tablet here as well. Of course, it’s got to be priced right as well.
