This is what Nokia's Android UI may look like

Even while we’ve seen Nokia’s alleged new Android handset, Normandy, pop-up around the Internet now and then, there’s more being added to the story. A new leak has now shown off pictures of the user interface Nokia seems to be prepping for its Android handset. Serial leakster @evleaks, who broke the story about Normandy, is also behind the UI image leaks too. The first image shows the lock screen for the Android phone and it is evident that Nokia has borrowed heavily from its Asha UI, as well as elements from its Windows Phone devices.

There are a bunch of notifications too, but they’ve been pushed towards the bottom of the screen, instead of appearing only in the notification drawer. The notifications are bright and almost tile-like and we’re guessing the option to long-press to launch an app from the notifications will be available too. The mock-ups also show a call being placed on Viber and a Skype login page too. Most interestingly, the UI also shows off dual-SIM support as well, which supports the budget phone theory. The notifications clearly mention whether a message or call was received on SIM one or two. Needless to say, the mock UI has been placed snugly over a phone that looks like the Normandy device we saw leaked a few months ago. The device itself is encased in a plastic shell that looks like a larger version of an Asha device. There are no buttons on the front of the device except a back button, hinting at virtual buttons for Normandy. There have been contradicting reports about Normandy emerging ever since @evleaks hinted at the device being an Android one. Most reports agree that while Nokia did have Android dreams before Microsoft took over its devices segment, the Finnish company abandoned its plans. However, with the UI leak, some will still hold hope for Nokia Android phone and it could even be too late for Microsoft to cancel Normandy.
