While it was believed that Nokia would announce its new devices this month, reports suggested that the launch has been pushed to October 22. The launch date was finally made official by Nokia when it tweeted to save the day for October 22. It is also believed that the company will launch the new Lumia 1520, its first ever phablet also known as Bandit and its Windows RT Sirius tablet at the event. While we know “when” and possibly “what”, now the company has also disclosed “where”. The Nokia Conversations blog reveals that Nokia World event will be held in Abu Dhabi.
The blog shows an image of a boat sailing with the Nokia logo towards the shore of Abu Dhabi, which is the capital of UAE. However, just like the previous teaser, the image doesn’t reveal any other detail.

Over the past one month, we’ve seen the Lumia 1520 pop its head every now and then, in the form of leaks and rumours. Going by the pictures and given its specs, the Lumia 1520 will be running the GDR3 update of Windows Phone 8, optimised for 1080p devices. It brings an extra column of live tiles on the Start Screen. It is likely to feature a 6-inch 1080p display, 32GB of storage, microSD card slot and 2GB of RAM. All of this is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 SoC from Qualcomm.
The Sirius is a 10.1-inch Windows RT tablet. The Nokia Windows RT tablet is likely to sport a 10.1-inch 1080 x 1920 resolution screen, quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD slot.
