Nokia’s much awaited and well-publicised smartphone, the PureView 808 is now available for sale in India for Rs 33,889 . The smartphone has won accolades and awards at the Mobile Phone Convention in Barcelona earlier this year and is touted as a revolutionary device as far as capturing images goes. The phone is equipped with PureView technology which allows it to click some really sharp photos. Oh and, the phone’s 41 mega-pixel camera is also of some help.
The smartphone comes with a large, high-resolution 41 megapixel sensor camera, powered by high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology.
According to Nokia’s description, the phone can lets users take professional quality images with their smartphone camera. It also allows users to make the best of low-light conditions while taking pictures with their phone.

Nokia 808 PureView also includes full HD 1080p video recording and playback with 4X lossless zoom. The phone also promises some quality sound and audio for users with its Rich Recording features which enables audio recording at CD-like levels of quality, previously possible with external microphones.It also has an exclusive Dolby Headphone technology, and Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback.
The 808 PureView runs on the Symbian Belle OS and not Windows. Other technical specifications include, 16 GB internal storage, 4.0-inch AMOLED Display, 1.3 GHz ARM 11 processor and 512 MB of RAM.
