Nokia offers free insurance with Asha 501 for a limited period

Nokia is offering the Asha 501 with a special festive offer. The company has partnered with New India Assurance Company Limited to offer pre-activated one-year of free insurance plan for the Asha 501.

This offer is available on purchasing a new Nokia Asha 501 handset. However, it is a limited period Diwali offer, valid only till November 15. The scheme is administered by Universal Insurance Brokers Services Private Limited (UIBSPL). The insurance plan for the Asha 501 covers mobile handset loss, thefts, and damage to the phone, beyond offering standard warranty.

This free insurance offered by Nokia is also against damage to its exterior as well as components which may have caused due to some external impact or an action by a third party. Moreover, it covers accidental physical damage, along with damages that are caused by liquid spills. As it is pre-activated, customers won’t require to take any documents to retail stores.

Let’s quickly run through its specs. The Asha 501 sports a 3-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display with QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels).
