Nokia Lumia 625, the Lumia phone with the biggest screen, could be launched in India by the end of the month.
According to a report in the Times of India , sources told the paper that the smartphone will be launched _in the second or third week of August._The report adds that the launch will also see the Lumia 925 which has a full-metal body being released.
On Nokia’s India website, the smartphones are listed as coming soon. But the Lumia 925 is already up for pre-order on e-commerce sites like Flipkart and Homeshop18 . Flipkart says that estimated release date of the phone is the fourth week of August and the price of the phone is listed as Rs 33,999.
The Nokia Lumia 625 has connectivity and a 4.7-inch super-sensitive LCD screen. The smartphone runs Windows Phone 8 and comes with 1.2GHz Dual-core processor with 512 MB RAM and 8 GB memory space. It also has a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, video shooting at 1080p @ 30fps and a VGA front facing camera.
It also comes with 7GB of online SkyDrive storage. The Nokia Lumia 625 also offers SD memory card support, allowing up to 64GB of additional content storage.
At the time of the phone’s launch, Nokia said that the estimated retail price would be 220 Euros before taxes and subsidies. This is approximately Rs 17,300 at current rates but the phone could be priced higher in India.
As far as the Lumia 925 is concerned the smartphone is an upgrade to the Lumia 920 device. The biggest change is in terms of design with the phone being only 8.5mm thick and weighing 139 grams. The Lumia 920 was much heavier and thicker at 185 grams and 10.7mm.
The other big change is the body finish. The smartphone has an aluminum frame, which runs around the outside of the body, and polycarbonate back body.
