Feature phones might be a dying breed, but that’s not stopping Nokia from trying to innovate and launch some cheap devices for users with a low budget.
The former number one mobilemanufacturer today announced the launch ofthree touch-screen phones as part of the Asha series. Nokia put up an official press statement, highlighting the features of the phones which do seem to have cool gaming features, making them an attractive option for users who’re not planning to shell out too much on a phone.
The three new phone models are the Nokia Asha 305, Nokia Asha 306 and Nokia Asha 311. So what are the key features of Nokia’s latest additions to the Asha series? We take a look at each phone.
Nokia Asha 311 has a3 inch, scratch resistant capacitive glass screen with polarisation filters to ensure better visibility in sunlight. Capacitive touchscreen means you can use a stylus on the phone. It also has a 1GHz processor which does make it pretty fast for a basic feature phone experience. The phone has 3.5 Internetcapabilities as well as well as 3.2 megapixel camera.Nokia Asha 311 also comes with 15 levels of Angry Birds pre-loaded onto the phone.

Nokia Asha 305 is a low-cost dual SIM while Nokia Asha 306 is touted as the cheapestWi-Fi handset to date. Both phones have GPRS/Edge Internetcapabilities, 2 mega-pixel camera, Nokia maps and Nokia Life. Asha 306also supports video streaming through both GPRS and Wi-fi.
Nokia is also giving away free perks with the phones. Buyers for all three phones will get 40 EA games for free to download, which includes Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed, The Run and FIFA 12.
The Indian prices for the devices has not be released. The devices will be available by October this year.
