Nokia launches Lumia 1020 in India, doesn't reveal price

Nokia today launched the new Lumia 1020 smartphone in India. Nokia didn’t reveal the price of the Lumia 1020 smartphone.

Nokia launches Lumia 1020 in India, doesn't reveal price

Nokia today launched the new Lumia 1020 smartphone in India. The smartphone will be available in India from 11 October and Nokia revealed the price of the wireless charging shell for the phone was Rs 3200.

A separate camera grip for phone which can be charged via micro-USB and to any camera tripod is priced at Rs 750.

What Nokia didn’t reveal was the price of the Lumia 1020 smartphone. The company says it will release the price on 10 October. According to reports, Nokia didn’t reveal the price due to the fluctuating rupee and the phone is likely to priced close to Rs 50,000.

The Lumia 1020 has a 41-megapixel and an HD 1.2 megapixel wide angle front camera. The camera has Optical Image Stablisation, aperture of f/2.2 and a Xenon flash.

According to Nokia, the 41MP sensor can capture 34MP and 38MP image files at 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios respectively.

The Lumia 1020 camera captures 5MP oversampled images so that every pixel in the 5MP image has been created using the data from up to seven pixels of the sensor. The oversampling technology ensures that these 5MP images are incredibly sharp, natural and low noise. (More details on Nokia Lumia 1020’s camera here.)

The phone comes with a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA (1280768) display. It also includes a 2.5 D sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 prcessor and 2GB of RAM, the phone runs Microsoft’s Windows phone 8.

It does not include built-in wireless charging, but it supports wireless charging via an attachable cover.
