As Nokia plans to unveil its next flagship, Nokia 8, officially at the HMD Global event on 16 August, photos of the phone's benchmarks have surfaced online.
The images first spotted by Slashleaks, show the phone with benchmark and specifications displayed on the screen. The phone had a model number TA -1012 which is line with the earlier leaked model number of the Nokia 8.
The benchmarks show that Nokia 8 will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 4 GB of RAM and an Adreno 540 GPU. The display will be QuadHD with 559 PPI pixel-density. The size of the display is not confirmed but it is speculated to be between 5.2 to 5.3 inches. The photo confirms he fact that the Nokia 8 will be having capacitive navigation buttons along with a home button where presumably the fingerprint sensor has been embedded.

The talking point about this phone will most likely be the dual-camera setup that has been speculated, making it the first Nokia handset to get the feature.
Reputed tipster Evan Blass had earlier in July tweeted a photo of the Nokia 8 camera module, captioned with a hashtag 'teaser'. The photo did indeed show a dual-tone LED flash and a laser-based autofocusing system housed alongside the two cameras.
Also several other leaks have pointed out to the fact that HMD Global is to bring Carl Zeiss cameras optics with the Nokia 8 smartphone. The speculated price for the smartphone is around Rs 45,000. We shall wait till 16 August to see how many of these rumours indeed turn out to be true.
