Nokia 3 users are in for a pleasant ‘update’ after Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer (CPO) of HMD Global, confirmed that the Nokia 3 would be receiving the Android Nougat 7.1.1 update by end of August. Juho took to his Twitter to announce the schedule of the update.

The phone is the cheapest among the two Android-powered Nokia phones that are available in the Indian market with the third one going on sale shortly. HMD Global has priced the Nokia 3 at Rs 9,499 to target the budget smartphone segment. The phone is powered by MediaTek MTK 6737 SoC along with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Users can expand storage space with the help of the microSD card slot that supports up to 128 GB. Nokia 3 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display panel with HD resolution along with two 8 MP camera sensors with f/2.0 aperture, one on the back and the other one on the front.
In other news related to the Nokia phones, apparently some Nokia 5 users are facing problems while opening the Dolby Equalizer in music apps like Google Play or Spotify. The users have taken up the problems on XDA forums claiming they are met only by a white dialogue box while opening the Dolby Equalizer with select music apps. HMD global has acknowledged the problem and said that it is working to fix the issue.
The company acknowledged the problem in an email response to a user facing the same problem.
