Nearly 3 months after it was first unveiled, the Nokia 3 is finally rolling out the Android 7.1.1 update. This new update will be bringing in new features over the Android 7.0 which had come originally in the phone.
Earlier in a tweet given out by Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, , it was told that the update would hit the Nokia 3 by the end of August. It looks like the update has overshot the deadline but nonetheless it is finally here. HMD Global is responsible for the distribution of phones under the brand name Nokia.
The update should be arriving to India, some south-eastern Asian countries and a few European countries according to Android Police and for some it is here already
The Nokia 3 has Mediatek MT6737 processor paired with a Mali T720 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and a 2,650 mAh battery. Additionally, it comes with a 5-inch 720p HD display, 16 GB of internal storage which can go up to 128 GB. The front and rear cameras are both 8 MP f/2.0 units and the screen is a 5-inch IPS LCD display with an HD resolution.
Connectivity comes in the form of GPS, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, etc. You also get a microUSB 2.0 slot with USB OTG support. The phone will be available in Matte Black, Silver White, Tempered Blue and Copper White.
