The next iPhone might disappoint you, for once, as it may not come with the Near Field Communication (NFC) chips - the service that would enable users to make their payments using their phones.

Apple made this disclosure at several meetings where it denied using NFC. The concept of NFC, although relatively lesser known; has been responsible for easing out several tasks like mobile payment, wherein the phone acts as a credit/ debit payment card. In addition to that, mobile ticketing adds up to some popular usage of NFC.
This technology has an edge over standard Bluetooth, as unlike Bluetooth it can establish connections quickly. You can forego the manual hassle. Also, it is easier and viable to use in crowded areas as it leaves out unwanted reception.
For now, Apple intends to make this service available on iTunes. The iPhone maker is supposedly upset with irregular standards observed and is in the process of developing the same for its new iPhone, and can be expected to release early next year.
Competitor Google launched its Nexus S last year which was NFC enabled.
